Children’s Therapy Services (CTS) is a small pediatric Occupational Therapy clinic located in Marin County. Occupational Therapists working at CTS provide comprehensive services for children and youth. It is the mission of each pediatric therapist to strengthen the foundational skills that support a child’s success across environments. Our shared goal is to help each child develop an understanding of his/her own unique challenges and abilities, to strengthen the areas of challenge, and to build a repertoire of skills and tools for success at home, at school, and in everyday life.
CTS is a community of like-minded independent pediatric therapists who are trained in a wide range of intervention techniques. Advanced training allows each therapist to develop a targeted individualized program for each child. The CTS model, when possible, is to have two therapists and two children using our space and interacting as they work towards their individual goals. This approach provides opportunities for awareness of the needs of others and subsequent social skills development. Pediatric therapists at CTS strive to respond to each family with consideration for their unique needs. They value clear communication and the development of appropriate home programs. Working as team members with families, schools, and other professionals in order to foster the child’s sense of competency in problem solving is one of many shared goals.
